WASHINGTON, D.C. — Holger Peller, COO of POWER Engineers and WSP global director of Power and Energy, has been appointed vice chair of the  American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Energy Committee.

In this leadership role, Peller will help the committee drive development and execution of a proactive legislative and regulatory advocacy program for U.S. energy.

“Having a respected energy industry leader like Holger taking an active role on the influential ACEC Energy Committee is critical as we look to shape and improve our nation’s power infrastructure,” said Joe Sczurko, WSP U.S. region president. “His keen business sense, vision and understanding of domestic supply, transmission and distribution issues is essential as our country takes the next big steps to modernize the energy grid to meet current and future demands.”

Peller has more than 30 years of experience working on the U.S. electrical grid. WSP, one of the world’s leading professional services firms, acquired POWER in Oct. 2024 and named Peller global director of Power and Energy. Peller has served a variety of leadership roles with POWER since 2006, most recently as chief operating officer. He oversaw consequential projects and 4,000 employees who are now part of WSP.

POWER helped found the ACEC Energy Committee and has a long history of advising ACEC on energy policy. Gretchen Cividini, market intelligence specialist with POWER, Member of WSP, also currently holds a seat on the committee. She provides policy, regulatory and technical insights to further the committee’s goals of bolstering the power industry and improving the nation’s power infrastructure.

“Resources, reliability and affordability are pivotal energy issues facing the U.S. energy market. Together, WSP and POWER are uniquely positioned to provide a comprehensive viewpoint that will help inform the committee and industry at large,” said Sczurko.

Committee appointments were confirmed during ACEC’s annual convention and legislative summit in Washington, D.C. recently.
